According to Trek’s September 20 race report, Gwendalyn Gibson finished second in the elite women’s Olympic-distance cross-country race on its prototype 32-inch mountain bike. Trek also reports that Evie Richards finished seventh and Riley Amos eighth in their respective races on the platform.

The manufacturer describes Soldier Hollow as the prototype’s race debut. Those results show the platform in competition; they do not establish that larger wheels alone caused the results.
